EZNPC Fallout 76 What to Farm for Crystal Shards
#1
Farm Crystal Shards fast in Fallout 76 at Clancy Manor, Black Bear Lodge and Lucky Hole Mine, then turn them into key energy weapon, power armor and CAMP upgrades.
If you run energy weapons in Fallout 76 for any length of time, crystal becomes one of those annoying materials that's always gone right when you need it. One minute you're fine, next minute you can't finish a weapon mod, patch up a power armor piece, or place the CAMP lights you wanted. I've tried the usual scavenging routes, and most of them are a waste of time. These days I stick to a tighter loop, and if I'm short on gear or want to speed things up between sessions, I'll sometimes check EZNPC since a lot of players use it for in-game items and currency support without spending all night farming junk.
Best places to loot first
The first stop worth making is Clancy Manor in Toxic Valley. It's still one of the most reliable crystal runs in the game. The house is packed with decanters, glass pieces, and the kind of decorative junk people normally ignore. Scrap it all and the shard count adds up fast. After that, Black Bear Lodge is an easy follow-up. You're not there for a massive haul, just quick pickups. Bottles and decanters are all over the place, and the building is small enough that you're in and out before it starts to feel like a chore. If you've got a bit more time, swing by the employee housing near Lucky Hole Mine. That spot is great because you can loot crystal-bearing junk inside, then move outside and work the crystal veins nearby if you brought acid.
Workshops and passive farming
If I know I'm going to be online for a while, I'll grab a workshop with a crystal deposit and let it work in the background. Lakeside Cabins is a popular one for a reason, and Beckley Coal Mine Exhibit can do the job too. It's not flashy, but it helps. You claim the place, drop the extractor, power it, then go do events, daily ops, or expeditions. Come back later and collect. That sort of passive income matters more than people think, especially if you burn through ammo and mods on plasma or laser setups. Just be ready to defend the workshop now and then, because if you ignore it completely, someone or something usually turns up.
Perks, smelting, and avoiding waste
A lot of players lose materials without realising it. Always use Scrapper when you're breaking down junk. It's one of those small habits that saves you over time. Same with Super Duper at the chemistry station. If you're smelting raw crystal with acid, every little bonus helps. The bigger mistake is going too hard on smelting just because you've found a few veins. Acid disappears fast in this game. You need it for all sorts of things, and if you empty your stash on crystal, you'll feel it later when it's time to make chems or process other ore. I usually smelt only what I know I'm going to use that day, then leave the rest until I actually need it.
Resetting loot spawns without wasting time
When the usual route dries up, there's still a way to keep the run going. Pick up enough random world items to push your old loot out of the history list, then hop servers and revisit your key locations. It's grindy, sure, but it works if you're focused on upgrades that really matter. That's the main thing, honestly. Spend your crystal on weapon mods, armor improvements, and the stuff that changes how you play. Save the decorative nonsense for later. If you stay disciplined with that loop, crystal stops feeling rare, and when you're trying to keep your whole build running alongside your ammo economy, having extra resources and even some backup Fallout 76 Bootle Caps options in mind can make the whole process a lot less irritating.
