Mini Cooper S brake job in Dubai, why is it so hard to find someone who won't just guess at the pad sensor
So my 2015 Cooper S has been flashing that little orange brake light at me for about a week now and I finally got around to poking my head behind the wheel and sure enough the inner pad is basically gone while the outer still looks like it has some life left which is classic Mini brake wear pattern because nobody ever cleans the slider pins properly. I started looking up places around Al Quoz and Rashidiya that won't charge me an arm and a leg for what should be a pretty straightforward job on these B46 engines and I came across http://www.brakepadreplacementdubai.ae/brands/mini-cooper-brake-pad-replacement/ while I was deep in a Google rabbit hole at two in the morning trying to figure out if I should go with the dusty OEM Jurid pads or try something like Akebono ceramics that people on the North American forums seem to love. My main worry is that some random shop will just slap the pads in without replacing the wear sensor that I'm pretty sure has already been tripped and then I'll be stuck with a warning light that won't clear because the system needs the new sensor loop and a proper reset with ISTA or at least a decent third party tool that actually speaks Mini. Anyone had a good experience with a place that knows these F56 chassis cars well enough to do the pads rotors and sensors in one go without making me feel like I'm being upsold on a bunch of stuff I don't need.
