Wrangler looked clean but I'm paranoid about death wobble and hidden desert abuse - joshphilippe - 04-18-2026

So I'm finally pulling the trigger on a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara that I found at a small used car lot over in Al Awir and honestly the thing looks like it just rolled off a SEMA show floor with the aftermarket wheels and the subtle lift kit and the angry bird grille that I'm already planning to swap back to stock because I'm not twelve years old, but I've been around Jeeps long enough to know that a shiny exterior and a freshly detailed engine bay can hide a world of pain from someone who treated every wadi trip like a qualifying lap for King of the Hammers and then never bothered to retorque anything afterwards. The seller swears it was just a mall crawler owned by a lady who never took it off road which is exactly what every seller says right before you discover the differential fluid looks like chocolate milk and the steering stabilizer is basically a decorative item at this point, and I really don't have the time or the mechanical know how to drop the skid plates myself and inspect for frame damage or bent control arm mounts. I'm trying to line up a Jeep Pre Purchase Inspection Dubai Today because I've waited too long for this spec and color combo to let it slip away but I also refuse to be the guy posting a sad thread next month about how my new Wrangler shakes like a washing machine full of bricks every time I hit eighty on Sheikh Zayed Road, so my question for the brain trust here is what specifically should I be asking the inspector to look at beyond the usual stuff like does anyone actually check the track bar bolt torque or look for signs of the dreaded oil cooler housing leak that these Pentastar motors are famous for once the plastic gets brittle in our heat. I just want to enjoy the Jeep wave and the removable roof without the constant anxiety that something expensive is about to snap in half.
